These definitions match how Chip and Stakes writes about UK-licensed casinos. They are not a complete dictionary of betting slang.
ADR
Alternative dispute resolution. If you cannot settle a complaint with a licensed operator, UK rules expect an independent ADR provider named in the operator’s terms.
Account number (UKGC)
The public identifier for a licensed business, such as 39028 for 888 UK Limited. Search it on the Commission register. It is not a PIN and it is not hidden.
GamStop
The national online self-exclusion scheme. Licensed remote operators must take part. Registering there is meant to block you from those brands for the period you select.
LCCP

Licensee
The legal person that holds the operating licence. Spin Genie, for example, is a brand; Skill On Net Limited is the licensee on the register.
Live casino
Table games streamed from a studio or, in Grosvenor’s Live & Direct case, from a UK venue, with a human dealer. Distinct from RNG blackjack that runs entirely in software.
Match-style welcome
A common offer type that credits bonus funds in proportion to a first deposit, usually with wagering attached. We name the type, not a frozen pound figure, because the operator’s page moves.
Reality check
A timed on-screen reminder of how long you have been playing. Licensed UK sites must make session reminders available.
Remote casino permission
The activity on a licence that authorises online casino games for customers in Great Britain. A sports-only permission does not cover slots.
RNG
Random number generator. Software that determines slot and virtual-table outcomes. Fairness testing is a licensing topic; it does not make a game a good bet.
RTP
Return to player: a long-run theoretical percentage of stakes a game is designed to return. It is not a promise for your next hour at the machine.
Time-out
A short break on a single operator, shorter than GamStop. Useful when you want a pause without a multi-year national exclusion.
Wagering requirement
How many times bonus funds (and sometimes the deposit) must be staked before you can withdraw related winnings. Read the game weighting: live tables often contribute little or nothing.
